Footballers like Romelu Lukaku have such an immense fan following, it’s easy to forget they are, at the end of the day, people too and have their own idols. So when the Manchester United forward met rap icon and music mogul Jay-Z, he was very much starstruck.

The Belgian is big on  hip-hop music and regularly listens to the American rapper’s numbers.

Well, apart from being managed by super agent Mino Raiola, Lukaku also signed up with Roc Nation Sports, Jay-Z’s management company.

Jose Mourinho has moaned so much about the lack of senior players at his disposal during pre-season that Lukaku, Phil Jones and Marcus Rashford have decided to cut short their holidays.

The aforementioned trio is expected to return to Manchester on Friday, three days before time.

United open the 2018/19 Premier League season with a Friday night (August 10) home tie against Leicester City.
