Australia whitewash India, wins Hockey series 5-0
However, despite the visitors’ determined efforts, Australia succeeded in preventing India from levelling the score, ultimately securing a thrilling 3-2 victory in the match.
Australian cricket team won the second ODI against India by 60 runs at Reliance Stadium, Vadodara.
Though Indian women’s team led by Mithali Raj lost the second match as well the three-match One-day International (ODI) series to Australia, bowler Pooja Vastrakar produced a rather enjoyable moment for the audience and her team when her six left the numbers crumbling off the scoreboard.
In the second innings (40th over of the match) of the match when India was batting, Pooja hit a maximum over the mid-wicket to Australian player Jess Jonassen.

Heaping praises for youngster Pooja Vastraker, the official Twitter handle of BCCI Women shared the video and captained it. “Pooja Vastrakar’s six leaves scoreboard in tatters. She smashed a Jess Jonassen delivery in the 2nd ODI at Baroda so hard that it landed on the manual scoreboard leaving it in a big mess.”

Earlier on Thursday, Australian women cricket team won the second ODI against India by 60 runs at Reliance Stadium, Vadodara.
Riding on Nicole Bolton (84), Ellyse Perry (70) and Beth Mooney’s (56) half-centuries Australia score 287 runs for nine wickets.
Following the daunting target of 288 runs, India’s start was good as elegant opener Smriti Mandhan scored eighth half-century of her career. In her 67-run knock, Mandhana hit 12 boundaries and one six.
After Mandhana’s departure Deepti Sharma joined Punam Raut at the crease but soon Raut was sent back to pavilion followed by skipper Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, Veda Krishnamurthy, Deepti Sharma and then Sushma Verma.
Indian women team lost seven wickets just for 98 runs as from 99 for one, they crumbled to 197 for 8.
After the failure of India’s opening batting order, bowler Pooja Vastraker tried to take Indian innings forward and scored 30 runs while batting at number nine.
