Harmanpreet Kaur, the T20I skipper of the Indian women’s cricket team, is among one of the best fielders in Team India camp. Kaur is like a livewire on the field and she had taken many acrobatic catches in her career.

On Friday, the Moga girl once again took a stunner while fielding for Sydney Thunder in the ongoing fourth season of Women’s Big Bash League. However, this time she did not celebrate much. The reason behind Kaur not celebrating despite taking a brilliant catch was that she had dismissed her fellow countrywoman Smriti Mandhana, who is also her deputy in T20I.

Both Mandhana and Kaur are currently playing in Australia’s domestic T20 league. Mandhana, who opened the innings for Hobart Hurricanes, was looking decent at the crease. The elegant Indian opener had hit two boundaries and a maximum.

Mandhana was batting at 29 when she decided to play an aerial shot straight down the ground on mid-wicket where Harman was fielding. Smriti’s shot was not timed well but the Indian captain timed her jump perfectly to catch the ball to dismiss the left-hander.

Hurricanes posted the target of 153 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. But Thunder’s chased it down with utmost ease with six wickets to spare.
