The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has re-accredited Brazil's drug-testing authority ABCD, four months after banning the body for non-compliance.

ABCD was struck off the list of WADA approved countries and regions in November after failing to implement an independent national anti-doping tribunal, reports Xinhua news agency.

In a statement on Wednesday, WADA said its foundation board voted to reinstate ABCD after reviewing recent changes made in the South American country.

"The Brazilian authorities have successfully adopted procedural rules in line with the (world anti-doping code) in order to regulate the activity of its newly established disciplinary tribunal," the Montreal-based agency said.
