India’s carrom-baller, spin wizard Ashwin bids adieu to international cricket
India's decorated off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin announced his decision to retire from international cricket moments after the Brisbane Test ended in a draw.
While Chahal bagged three wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs, his spin partner Jadeja was slightly expensive.
Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal feels sometime skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma bat as if they are playing PS4. Riding on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s majestic ton, India thrashed West Indies by eight wickets in the opening fixture of the five-match ODI series against West Indies in Guwahati on Sunday.
“We enjoy watching them (Rohit and Kohli) bat, they are two legends of the game, (smiles) at times we feel they are playing PS4,” Yuzvendra Chahal was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

On Sunday, while Virat Kohli played the role of the aggressor, Rohit preferred to play second fiddle as India chased down the target of 323 with 47 balls to spare. Virat and Rohit put up a record 246-run partnership for the second wicket.

Talking about his own performance, Yuzvendra Chahal said, “On this wicket, we needed to vary our pace, we have to guess what the batsman is doing and bowl according to that. They (West Indies batsmen) were looking to hit sixes, so I didn’t want to bowl the fuller ball. They are strong guys, need to bowl slower in the air, it’s different when the ball spins.”
While Yuzvendra Chahal bagged three wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs, his spin partner Ravindra Jadeja was slightly expensive (2/66 from his 10).
“I played with Jaddu bhai in the Asia Cup, I told him that he could bowl slower on this wicket, we always talk with each other, even with Kuldeep, we make a good trio,” Yuzvendra Chahal noted.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma (188) on Sunday became the fourth fastest to 20 ODI hundreds. Rohit is only behind Hashim Amla(108), Virat Kohli (133) and AB de Villiers(175).
