Virat had called AB as one of his best batting partners.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Saturday pen down an emotional tribute to his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villiers on his farewell from international cricket.
Virat Kohli took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, and posted an emotional tweet for his ‘brother’ AB de Villiers and wished him good luck for the future. “Wish you all the best in everything that you do my brother,” RCB skipper Virat Kohli wrote in his tweet.
“You’ve changed the way batting was seen in the time you’ve played international cricket. My best wishes to you and your family for this amazing journey ahead,” the 29-year old further wrote on Twitter and shared an image of them together.

Earlier on Wednesday, AB de Villiers stunned the cricket world by announcing his retirement on the micro-blogging site through a video.
“I have decided to retire from all international cricket with immediate effect. After 114 Test matches, 228 ODI’s and 78 T20 Internationals, it is time for others to take over. I have had my turn, and to be honest, I am tired,” AB said in the video.

Thank you to everyone – especially the players past and present, MY TEAMMATES and opponents – for their good wishes and understanding. The last few days have been tough and emotional, but I’m taken aback by all the love and support! #proteafire for life

However, this is not the first time when Virat has written an emotional message for the 34-year-old South African batsman. Just a few days back, Virat had called AB as one of his best batting partners in a post on the social media.
“Have always loved batting with this guy. Makes things simpler for the person at the other end. Today was yet another special partnership. Glad to finish on a winning note,” Virat wrote on Insta after the two scripted a win over Delhi Daredevils for their side.
