La Liga giants Real Madrid concluded their transfer window activity by roping in Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain. As part of this deal, Keylor Navas also shifted base from Real Madrid to PSG. However, recent reports reveal that Real Madrid received as many as three last-minute offers for Mariano Diaz.
It is an extensively reported fact that Real Madrid were expected to be involved in a few more deals but with the transfer window slamming shut on Monday, they will have to give it their best with the squad they have. Real Madrid, were in fact, looking to sell Mariano Diaz.

Diaz had joined Real Madrid in the last season on a deal for five years but a below-par season with Real Madrid saw him being drafted out of the starting XI.
According to a report carried by Don Balon, a Spanish media outlet, teams like Roma, Valencia and West Ham United were interested in roping in Diaz but none of these teams met Real Madrid’s valuation of the player. Club President Florentino Perez was expecting at least €25 million for the player.
Since the offered bids were substantially less than what Madrid were expecting, Diaz will stay with Real Madrid and will have have to fight for his place on the pitch with players like Karim Benzema and Luka Jovic already in the team. The report adds that Real Madrid might consider offloading him, if they receive a good offer in January.
