One of the key players of Chelsea, Eden Hazard, changed teams in the ongoing transfer window. The Belgian international player shifted to Real Madrid in a deal worth over £100 Million. However, Eden Hazard not only left big boots to fill in but also the iconic Number 10 jersey.
As per reports, two players will be contesting for the vacant number 10 jersey.

According to a report published by the Evening Standard, footballers Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi are both eager to don the Number 10 jersey. The jersey before being worn by Eden Hazard belonged to Juan Mata and Hazard had himself taken over the jersey from him once Mata was sold to Manchester United.
The report goes on to elaborate the situation. Hudson-Odoi’s team has asked that he should be handed over Hazard’s former jersey number. On the other hand, Willian has also confirmed during an interview with Desimpedidos, a Brazilian TV channel, that he has been offered the Number 10 kit.
At the same time, a third contention for the number ten has also come up in the form of Christian Pulisic. The American footballer was signed by the club in January 2018 but went on to spend the remaining season at Borussia Dortmund.
It is worth noting that although Pulisic did not wear Number 10 for his previous club Dortmund, he dons the Number 10 jersey in international outings.
Pulisic was given Gary Cahill’s number twenty-four in the pre-season matches and it is being speculated that he might be handed number twenty-two jersey if Willian is indeed given the iconic jersey number ten.
