“Every match we need to get some tests to make us stronger, show we can do it in every circumstance,” Neymar said. “We had to stand together. It was very hard to do it.”
The combative midfielder paid tribute to La Roja's fans after their win on Sunday night.
Chile’s midfield general Arturo Vidal was understandably ecstatic after guiding his team to a 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the opening Group B game of the 2017 Confederations Cup on Sunday, thanking fans for all the love they showered during the game.
“Thanks for the love,” Vidal said to FIFA TV afterwards, as he collected his man-of-the-match award.
Vidal scored the opener in the 81st minute, before Eduardo Vargas tapped in from close range in the 91st minute to ensure La Roja began the quadrennial tournament on the best possible note.
