The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday handed top-order batsman Khalid Latif a ban for five years after he was pronounced guilty for spot-fixing in the 2017 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The 31-year-old Karachi batsman was also fined one million Pakistan Rupees.
Earlier in August, another opener Sharjeel Khan was given a five-year ban after he was pronounced guilty for his role in the spot-fixing scandal during the recent edition of the cash-rich T20 league.
Sharjeel was given some relief by the board but none of Latif’s sentence is suspended so far, which means the Latif cannot return to cricket till 2022.
