PCB names Aleem Dar, Aaqib Javed, Azhar Ali in revamped selection panel
Hours after that debacle, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to reconstruct the selection committee.
Taffazul Rizvi, the legal adviser of Pakistan Cricket Board, said Jamshed was the “lynchpin” in the spot-fixing scandal.
Former Pakistani opener Nasir Jamshed has been banned from international cricket in the wake of the spot-fixing scandal that rocked Pakistan Super League in 2017, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Friday.
Nasir Jamshed, who had represented Pakistan in 48 One-Day Internationals (ODI), 18 T20Is and two Tests matches, has been banned for 10 years by an anti-corruption tribunal for his role in the spot-fixing scandal.
Earlier in February 2017, Nashir was suspended from all forms of cricket for violating the PCB’s anti-corruption code. Later in December, he was handed a one-year ban for failing to co-operate with the ACU’s investigation.

“The tribunal has reached the verdict that the PCB’s multiple charges against Nasir Jamshed have been proved and he was banned for 10 years,” Rizvi told reporters on Friday, adding, “He will not be allowed to be involved with cricket or cricket administration even after his period of ban is over.”
Other than Nashir Jamshed, batsmen Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were also handed five-year bans for their role in the scandal. Pacer Mohammad Irfan and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz were also given suspensions for 12 and two months respectively.
