Former Indian tennis player Somdev Devvarman got married to Shiwali Wal in Udaipur the 27th and 28th February. While the news of the marriage was reported by the media, his fans were yet to see the wedding photographs. Ending the weeklong wait, Devvarman shared the photographs on his Twitter handle on Thursday.
Taking to micro-blogging site, he tweeted: “28.02.2019
When you marry the girl of your dreams!
Thank you universe!.”
Somdev Devvarman, a recipient of India’s highest sporting honour Arjuna award, was awarded the Padma Shri in 2018.
He recently talked about his ensuing wedding and renewed outlook to life, and also about his car.
“As a youngster, you tend to like flashy things. As a child, I thought I would be a different person when I owned that car, that I would feel better walking in and out of a nicer car — that’s what you tend to think when you’re young,” Devvarman was quoted as saying by Tennis World. “But I didn’t want to be ‘that guy who owns that car’, and ironically, I realised it only after buying the X3. It was an important lesson for me in a way”.
“I’m more practical now,” Devvarman added.
According to media reports, the wedding ceremony of Somdev Devvarman and Shiwali Wal took place at the The Royal Retreat Resort & Spa in Udaipur.
