Don’t write off champions: Nathan Lyon on Kohli’s recent batting slump
The Australian team must be hoping to take advantage of Virat Kohli’s prolonged batting slump when the two sides clash in the five-Test series for the Border-Gavaskar trophy
Hazy conditions came handy for Sri Lanka to stop play, forcing India to declare the innings at 536/7 on the second day of the third and final Test match at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium here on Sunday. Sri Lankan players entered the ground with anti-pollution masks. There was drama on the ground as Sri Lankan team manager walked up to the umpires, apparently to raise the issue of poor playing conditions due to smog. India coach Ravi Shastri also walked up to the umpires.
Not happy with the developments, captain Virat Kohli declared the innings in a huff.
