Actor Shah Rukh Khan once shared that he never visited Kashmir because his late father had asked him not to go there without him.

Former Indian cricketer and batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar congratulated and sent his best wishes to Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan after the latter was selected for the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced, on Tuesday, the news of Bachchan being selected for the award.
“The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired for 2 generations has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahabPhalke award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest Congratulations to him,” Javadekar had tweeted.

Notably, Amitabh Bachchan, 76, has been part of the Indian Cinema for more than four decades and still remains an active member of the Hindi film industry. He has already been conferred with Padma Vibhushan- the country’s second-highest civilian hounour- in 2015.
