It seems the admins of AS Roma’s Twitter (English) account can’t stop their trend of announcing players’ transfers via poor attempts at photoshop and Davide Santon got the same treatment, much to the delight of all football fans.
Santon, who has played for Inter Milan (twice) and Newcastle United, arrived in Rome as a part of a multi-player swap deal between the Nerazurri and the Giallorossi.
Nicolo Zaniolo and Santon joined last season’s UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, while Radja Nainggolan went the other way.
Roma’s announcement of Santon, however, took the cake:
The mixture of deliberately poor photoshopping skills and understatedly brilliant captions have, unsurprisingly, made the post go viral.
