Actor Priyanka Chopra is overwhelmed with the win of Mary Kom in her debut Commonwealth Games. Priyanka who essayed the role of Mary Kom in her biographical film expressed her joy and support for MC Mary Kom. Priyanka took to Twitter and congratulated the boxer. The tweet read: “I’m sooooo proud of my friend and India’s pride @MangteC you are and always will be my champion! Congratulations!! Yay! “

MC Mary Kom’s persona grew with the Commonwealth Games gold. She thrashed Northern Ireland’s Kristina O’Hara in the final on Saturday.
The 35-year-old five-time world champion and Olympic bronze-medallist was competing in her debut Commonwealth Games, also perhaps her last, and made it a memorable one with yet another dominating performance to claim an unanimous verdict of 5-0.
