If reports are to be believed, all does not seem to be well for Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane. He is reportedly on the brim of being shown the door from Real Madrid management.

Reports are hinting that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is not happy with the team’s performance under Zidane at the moment. Los Blancos did not have an impressive run in the pre-season campaign where they were defeated by teams like Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma. Their La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid also hammered them 7-3 in the pre-season preparation match.

Even though Zidane’s Real Madrid began their 2019-20 La Liga campaign with a 3-1 win against Celta Vigo, they failed to win the match against ‘underdogs’ Real Vallodolid who were able to draw the match against them. Reports carried by Don Balon, a Spanish weekly sports magazine, suggest that Zidane may have been handed one final chance to impress and it is Real Madrid’s match against Villarreal.

The match is scheduled at the Estadio de la Ceramica in Villarreal, Spain on 1 September and it is being looked upon as a must-win match for manager Zidane if he has to continue his stint at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are currently at the fourth place on the La Liga points tally. Meanwhile, their arch-rivals Barcelona are at the tenth place.
