Recent reports from Spain claim that La Liga giants Real Madrid have been offered Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves by his agent Jorge Mendes for an expected move in the January transfer window. The player is expected to be rated at around €50 million and promises to be a long term solution for Real Madrid midfield problems.

It is worth highlighting that Los Blancos have been trying to rope in a world class midfielder in their squad ever since the summer transfer window but have failed in all their attempts to do so. Manchester United star Paul Pogba was on top of their priority list but after the Red Devils asked a whopping €180 million for the French midfielder, Real Madrid became a little hesitant to go through with the deal and backed off.

Real Madrid were not ready to shell out such a heavy amount after having completed high profile signing of Eden Hazard from Chelsea for €100 million. Real Madrid then turned their attention towards other players like Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek. However, both the deals failed to materialize.

Now, reports carried by Spanish media outlet Don Balon, claim that Los Blancos have been offered Neves. He can be a long-term replacement for somebody like a Casemiro. The 22-year-old midfielder is widely regarded as one of the best players in the midfield position in the Premier League circuit and Real Madrid would want to include him in the January window itself.
