Previously, Jadeja’s father, speaking to a Gujarati e-paper, Divya Bhaskar, claimed a strained relationship with the prominent Indian all-rounder, expressing regret over his marriage.

Despite living in the same city of Jamnagar for the past five years, Jadeja’s father lamented the lack of contact with his granddaughter and expressed ongoing family tension since Jadeja’s marriage to Rivaba Jadeja in April 2016.

He highlighted the absence of communication between their households, noting that he resides alone while Ravindra has his own separate residence. He also expressed bewilderment over the influence Rivaba has seemingly had on his son.

Jadeja’s father conveyed profound emotional anguish, revealing that his son’s decisions had caused him considerable distress. He expressed regret over arranging his son’s marriage and speculated that life might have been simpler had Jadeja pursued an alternative career.

Additionally, he alleged that the sitting Jamnagar MLA had pressured him to transfer his property into her name and attributed the rift in the family to her influence since their marriage.

The Indian all-rounder is anticipated to miss the third test against England as he continues to recover from his injury, having already sat out the second test in Vizag. He is currently undergoing intensive rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
