India’s star shuttler PV Sindhu crashed out of the Japan Open after she lost 18-21, 8-21 to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in Tokyo on Thursday.

With this, the Japanese shuttler avenged the defeat she faced recently at the Korea Open. Sindhu had defeated Okuhara to clinch the Korea Open Super Series title on Sunday.

Earlier in the World Championships in Glasgow, Okuhara had shattered Sindhu’s dream of winning gold. The Indian had to settle for silver after battling for an hour and 50 minutes at the final match.
