The PUSH Sports on Tuesday announced The Anjum Chopra Scholarship, which seeks to assist and foster the growth of young and talented female cricket players. The scholarship provides a yearly assistance of Rs 1 lakh for training at PUSH Sports Arenas.
It also includes the chance to participate in the special tours across the country and overseas for a year. The aspiring athletes will be able to realize their full potential both on and off the field with the aid of this scholarship.
Push Sports entirely focuses upon growth of women and girls cricket across the country and this opportunity is the result of its ongoing nationwide efforts.
This Scholarship program will work towards providing the athletes best possible equipment and gear through sponsorships and also co-operate with them to craft a successful career in sports under the guidance of experienced professionals.
“Ms Anjum Chopra, a Padma Shri and Arjuna Award recipient is a foremost name in women’s cricket. A former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team with an international playing career spanning 17 years, she is a notable face as a broadcaster on television,” said a press statement.
After playing and now working closely at the grass root and state level Anjum Chopra mentioned that “It is a privilege and pride to be associated with such a scholarship programme.”
