Veteran opener, Shikhar Dhawan, is missing from the Team India, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take on Sri Lanka. Same it is in the case of Prithvi Shaw, who is missing the much-awaited SL series.
Every time the team is announced ahead of any series, there are heartbreaks, emotions and surprises associated with it. And not to the surprise, it was Prithvi Shaw, this time who expressed his disappointment for not getting a spot in the national team.

Notably, Prithvi’s name has been ignored for a long time. Despite performing well in domestic cricket and IPL, he has not been able to establish himself in the national side. The Mumbai batter responded to this by a poem he shared on his official Instagram handle.
It was an Instagram Reel that he shared on his Story. It was a poem from Uzair Hijazi; “Kisi ne muft me paa liya vo shakhs, jo mujhe har keemat pe chahiye tha” which means the one I needed the most, someone got it for free.
Shaw last played with the Indian jersey in white-ball series in July 2021 against Sri Lanka. He has been missing from the national side since then. Moreover, his post got a lot of positive response from the fans as they consoled him for not getting selected despite all his efforts.
