Wolves part ways with manager O’Neil after loss against Ipswich
Wolves have confirmed the departure of manager O'Neil on Sunday following their 2-1 loss against Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
The outspoken ‘superagent’ is effectively daring the Red Devils to sell Pogba before the transfer window closes.
Mino Raiola, Paul Pogba’s outspoken agent, has lashed out at Manchester United legend Paul Scholes in a series of tweets, which reportedly hint that his client may well exit the club before the August 31 transfer deadline.
Scholes, a TV pundit, criticised Pogba on the weekend as he claimed that while Pogba may have worn the captain’s armband, but he lacked leadership qualities.

United have been in a bit of a rut of late, losing their second game of the season to Brighton & Hove Albion, with manager Jose Mourinho reportedly fighting to keep his job.

The Special One has been at loggerheads with Pogba since last season and the Frenchman has emerged as a key transfer target for Catalan giants Barcelona in the past few weeks.
United have refused to sell, especially with the club unable to sign any new players now, but Raiola’s recent outburst on Twitter suggests that there may yet be another twist in the tale:
Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten. Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill. @paulpogba
— Mino Raiola (@MinoRaiola) August 21, 2018
Referring to Scholes’ comments after the Brighton loss, Raiola goes to extraordinary lengths to drive home his point that the former midfielder can’t notice a true leader.
Winston Churchill, is of course, the legendary British Prime Minister who led the nation to victory in the Second World War.
It’s Raiola’s second tweet, however, which has got United fans worried:
Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club @paulpogba
— Mino Raiola (@MinoRaiola) August 21, 2018
Raiola’s clearly daring the club to sell his player, sarcastically claiming that he’ll struggle to find a new side for the World Cup-winning midfielder.
United are said to be undergoing a restructure at the club, with a new director of football set to be announced in the coming months.

The aim is to have better transparency and accountability over transfers after an underwhelming summer transfer window in which the club could only sign two key players for the first team.
United broke the transfer record in 2016 to sign Pogba for £86 million from Juventus and are reluctant in allowing him to move after just two seasons.
It is understood that Pogba has not handed in a transfer request, despite rumours of a rift with Mourinho swirling since last season.

He’s started the season well enough, having converted two penalties in as many matches, but United on the whole have been far from impressive.
