Paul Pogba and Juventus agree to terminate contract
Paul Pogba and Juventus have mutually agreed to part ways as the French midfielder faces an 18-month ban from football.
United are winless in their last four games (all competitions) now.
Former Manchester United defender and Instagram sensation Patrice Evra has come out with an impassioned plea on the social media network, calling all fans and former players to back the club to come out of the rut the Red Devils are in.
Evra, who’s currently a free agent, uploaded a post on Tuesday with a lengthy caption:
Hours after Evra’s post, United could only manage a 0-0 draw at home against Valencia in the UEFA Champions League to continue their stuttering start to the 2018/19 campaign.
So far, Jose Mourinho’s men have failed to click as they find themselves languishing in 10th place, eight points off leaders Manchester City, in the Premier League table.
Things got monumentally worse last week as star player Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho’s feud was caught on camera and the club slumped to an ignominious Carabao Cup exit at the hands of lower-league Derby County.
Their form in Europe hasn’t been bad, however, as on the opening day they beat BSC Young Boys 3-0 away before drawing at home with Valencia on Tuesday night.
Italian giants Juventus top Group H with six points, while United are second with a tally of 4 points from two games.
United next take on Newcastle United in their final fixture before the international break resumes and it’s possible that Mourinho could get the sack if the Magpies script an upset at Old Trafford.
