Veteran Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi feels nobody has the right to tell former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni when to announce his retirement from international cricket. Afridi also feels India needs MS Dhoni to succeed in the upcoming 2019 ICC World Cup.
“What Dhoni has done for team India nobody else can and nobody has the right to tell him when to retire. 2019 Dhoni needs to be there for India to have good chances” Shahid Afridi told Times Now.

MS Dhoni has been at the centre of a major discussion lately regarding his position in the Indian squad for the upcoming World Cup.
National selectors’ decision to drop MS Dhoni from Indian squad from the recently concluded three-match T20I series against West Indies and ongoing series against Australia has also raised the further question regarding wicket-keeper batsman’s participation in WC2019.
Speaking about Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Afridi had earlier said the stylish 30-year-old batsman is one of his favourite players but he feels the Delhi batsman needs to improve as a skipper.
“Virat Kohli is one of my favourite players but he needs to improve as a captain,” Afridi said, before adding, “India-Australia series is going to be a very exciting contest and this Indian team has what it takes to beat Australia in Australia but the team needs to play together”.
