With the European transfer window set to slam shut on 2 September, the transfer drama revolving around Neymar is also subsiding.
Ever since the owner of the Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Nasser Al-Khelaifi had stated that he would not tolerate any kind of celebrity behaviour at PSG, it was being speculated that Neymar will make a move back to Spain. During the initial phase, Barcelona were the only side who were interested in roping him in.
However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez then jumped into the race, making the situation concerning Neymar very interesting. PSG, however, kept on rejecting bid after another from both the teams. Real Madrid eventually lost interest in the deal but Barcelona kept up the pressure.
It was less than a week ago that Barcelona had, in fact, sent a delegation team to Paris to try and finalise the deal concerning the Brazilian. If reports are to be believed, players like Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele, Arthur Melo and Nelson Semedo were proposed to move to Paris in exchange of Neymar.
However, with just a day left in the transfer window, a report carried by Marca suggests that the deal is not happening and Neymar has even accepted that he will have to stay at PSG. The report adds that he has informed his family members of his decision and it seems like Neymar will don PSG colours yet again this season.
