Meanwhile, according to a report in The Indian Express, Praveen Tripathy, Joint CP (crime), Kolkata Police, said, “We have received a letter from BCCI which shows that Mohammed Shami was in Dubai on 17th and 18th February. We are investigating the other things related to it.”
BCCI’s response came after a letter was sent to the Board by the Kolkata Police seeking Shami’s schedule last month. The police sought the details to check if Shami had gone to Dubai as claimed by his wife Hasin Jahan. However, police are yet to find out whether it was Shami’s personal tour or was sponsored by BCCI.
Jahan had accused Indian pacer Shami of physical and mental torture, extra-marital affairs, attempt to murder among other charges.
