Premier League: Man City’s woes continue with 1-2 defeat at Villa Park
Aston Villa secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Manchester City in a gripping Premier League clash at Villa Park.
Having played a crucial role in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow that helped the Reds qualify for the last-16 stage of Champions League on Tuesday, Juan Mata said that the Jose Mourinho’s team were now fully focused on their Premier League tie against Manchester City, scheduled on Sunday.
“We have a few Premier League games until the next Champions League match, so our aim is to focus on the league – it’s a crucial period for us,” Mata told MUTV, adding, “The next match is even more special because we are playing first against second, and, if we get the three points, we can get closer in the table.”

Mata had scored United’s winner when the two sides met during United’s triumphant League Cup campaign last season.

Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof, too, is excited for the derby and said that it would be a massive game.
“I am very excited for the derby, if I get the chance to play. Right now, I am just happy for the win and that we have finished first in the group. It is going to be a massive game that we are all looking forward to,” he said, according to www.manutd.com.
