Zlatan sure hasn’t been slacking off in the gym!
Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic may not have played football since suffering a serious knee injury in April, but the 35-year-old proved he is still in prime condition with his latest post on Instagram.
The outspoken Swede recently signed a one-year contract extension with the Red Devils after an impressive debut season that was cruelly cut short in April when he suffered an ACL injury in an Europa League fixture in April.
United, who had signed Zlatan in 2016 on a free transfer, released the veteran from his contract as he was not expected to return to competitive action till January 2018 at least.
However, the Swede remarkable recovery convinced the club to re-sign with United and the striker is said to be looking at a return to the pitch by late 2017.
Zlatan, who turns 36 in October, regularly posts on Instagram with updates of his recovery and a video of him spinning and kicking a sandbag went viral recently.
Famous for referring to himself in the third person, the self-styled ‘God of Manchester’ is well-versed in martial arts and even holds an honorary black belt in Taekwondo.
The 6’5 striker is continuing his rehabilitation process in Monaco and will look to rejoin his teammates after the international break ends next week.
United have made light of his absence as they have won all three of their opening game to open up a two-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
