Although widespread reports of Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku’s transfer are doing rounds, nothing concrete has materialised yet. However, amidst all this, Lukaku has failed to report for Manchester United training camp.

Lukaku was linked to a possible move to Serie A where earlier Inter Milan were interested in him, but later Juventus joined the race and even offered a massive swap deal including their star player Paulo Dybala. However, reports suggested that while Lukaku was open to the possibility of moving to Juventus, Dybala was reluctant.

Romelu, who earlier used to play for Everton, has been given a lot of leverage by his present club United. For instance, he was allowed to train with his former team Anderlecht’s teammates a couple of days ago and was told to resume training with Manchester United the following day. However, Lukaku has failed to report for training.

The club has now decided to fine him. According to a report in Mirror, United have fined the 26-year-old with a maximum possible amount of £400,000. To put things into perspective, that is two weeks’ worth of his salary. The fine has been levied since he refused to join the training camp.

Team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly furious with Lukaku’s unreasonable behaviour. Now with Manchester United been linked to Fernando Llorente, the entire narrative around Lukaku will become all the more interesting.
