Wolves part ways with manager O’Neil after loss against Ipswich
Wolves have confirmed the departure of manager O'Neil on Sunday following their 2-1 loss against Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old joins the Champions League finalists on a long-term deal.
Champions League finalists Liverpool have shown they aren’t resting on their past laurels by splashing the cash for Monaco midfielder Fabinho to make the Brazilian their first signing of the summer window.
“Liverpool Football Club can confirm a deal has been agreed for the transfer of Fabinho from AS Monaco,” a club statement read on Monday.

It’s not been a good past week for Reds fans as they watched their beloved side stumble at the final hurdle in the biggest club game of the year but the 24-year-old’s acquisition shows the Merseyside unit are already looking forward to next season.

Fabinho’s been on the radar of many European giants, including Liverpool’s arch-rivals Manchester United, after impressing for Monaco in Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League for the past few seasons.
The 6’2 midfielder, who can deputise at right-back, won Ligue 1 with Monaco in 2016-17 and spent a few seasons with Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid, although he didn’t get too much playing time.
“The Brazil midfielder will formally seal a switch to the Reds on July 1 after successfully completing a medical and finalising terms on a long-term contract at Melwood,” the club added.

While Fabinho, who has four caps for the Brazilian national side, is the sole addition to Liverpool’s squad so far, the fact that Naby Keita will also be playing for Liverpool this year gives Jurgen Klopp extra options in midfield.
Keita became the club’s record signing last year when they paid a reported £60 million to RB Leipzig but the deal was such that the Guinean would only join the Reds in 2018.
Along with captain Jordan Henderson, the Merseysiders could, on paper at least, form a formidable three-man midfield as their new signings look set to impress in the Premier League.

The fact that Liverpool have already started to make moves in the transfer market bodes well as they look to get their work done before the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off.
Traditionally, those who star at the quadrennial extravaganza see their price jacked up and often struggle to make an initial impact due to the fact that they arrive a little late/or miss pre-season altogether.
Those Liverpool fans waiting to get a glimpse of their club’s latest buy will have to wait a while as Fabinho has not been called up by Brazil for the World Cup and hence, his first outing after signing for the Reds will be in their summer tour.
