In a fresh turn of events in the Mohammed Shami case, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Praveen Kumar Tripathi said, “I sent a letter to the BCCI asking for the tour itinerary of Md Shami via Dubai from the South Africa tour. We want to know which hotels he was supposed to be staying in so as to cross verify the claims of his wife. This letter was sent two days ago and yet to be replied to.”
Tripathi also said that Hasin Jahan had an audio-visual statement recording done at Lalbazar on Saturday and that she came today again to submit the mobile phone that allegedly belonged to her estranged spouse.
This phone, kept secretly as per Hasin allegedly contained details of his sexually charged conversations with numerous women as well as other illicit monetary transactions with Pakistan nationalities among others.
Numerous other documents were also reportedly submitted by Hasin at Lalbazar. According to a senior police officer, “Hasin will soon have her statement recorded in the presence of a magistrate as per Section 164 in The Code Of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Recording of confessions and statements).
We will require the help of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory to go through the phone as there are supposed to be encrypted details pertaining to foreign contacts.
We are still cross verifying Hasin’s claims and are yet to formally communicate with Shami. Neither has he or his lawyer approached us.” The officer also claimed that a probe had been launched on regard to the alleged involvement of a Karachi based woman Alishba- who Jahan.
Meanwhile, an effort is reportedly underway to find a way out to bulid bridges between Hasin Jahan and her estranged husband Md Shami as the latter had offered to patch up through dialogues on Sunday, though the India speedster stopped short of offering any commitment to mend ways as suggested by Jahan.
I had on numerous occasions tried to get him rectified but he continued to indulge in immoral acts for the last four years.
