Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday announced that they have officially appointed former Australian batsman David Hussey as their chief mentor and former Kiwi pacer Kyle Mills as their bowling coach for the forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Both David Hussey and Kyle Mill will team up with Brendon McCullum at KKR, who was named as the head coach of the franchise earlier for the next IPL edition.

“It’s great to welcome David Hussey and Kyle Mills to the Knight Riders Family,” Venky Mysore, CEO and MD of KKR was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.
“They bring a wealth of experience as professionals and are terrific individuals. We are confident that their contribution as part of the think tank of KKR, and to the KKR academy, will be invaluable,” he added.
David Hussey had been a part of the KKR franchise as a player between 2008 and 2010 and will now join them in the coaching staff. With an experience of over 300 T20 matches across franchise cricket and at the International level, Hussey will bring a lot of value to their coaching staff.
Mills, on the other hand, is one of the leading Kiwi pacers that their country has seen in limited-overs cricket. He is in fact the second-highest wicket-taker for New Zealand in ODIs and his insights on bowling in the T20 league could prove to be very useful for the bowlers at KKR camp.
