Premier League clubs approve changes to associated party transaction rules
The proposed changes came into play after an independent tribunal found some aspects of the APT rules to be unlawful following Manchester City’s lawsuit.
The 29-year-old midfielder could return in time for the end of the season.
Liverpool fans can breath a sigh of relief as Jurgen Klopp revealed that midfielder Adam Lallan’s injury wasn’t as bad as previously thought and the Englishman could return in time before the end of the season.
“Thank God, that’s not as bad as we thought – a number of weeks,” the German manager was quoted as saying by the club website.
Lallana’s 2017-18 season has been an injury-ravaged one, with the classy midfielder only completing 90 minutes once in the entire campaign and when he pulled up soon after coming on against Crystal Palace, speculation was rife that he would not take part in any games till the summer at least.

The tie against the Eagles was evenly balanced at 1-1 as Klopp made a double substitution midway into the second half to bring on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lallana as the Reds sought to nick three points but the visitors were forced into making their final change when their No.20 was forced off just minutes after his introduction.
“There is a little hope, of course, that we can maybe use him again this season but we have to wait; it is absolutely not the time to bring any rush into the situation.”
With the 2018 FIFA World Cup less than three months away, England fans were worried too as the 29-year-old looked like he would miss the quadrennial tournament with Klopp’s initial diagnosis of the injury terming it a ‘bad one’.
“It is not the Adam Lallana season so far. It makes the season so far even more special when you think that we have played the season without him. He will be back for pre-season, of course,” the German tactician added.
Lallana, however, is ruled out of their double-legged UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie with Manchester City (April 4 and April 10) and the upcoming Merseyside Derby (April 7) for sure.
