Cameron Green
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green will be on the target of most of the franchises in the IPL auction 2023. Cameron was widely appreciated by the cricket experts during Australia’s 3 match t20i series in India earlier this year. Notably, he was the top scorer with 118 runs in 3 innings in the T20 series. With more than 20 crores in the purse of teams like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and others, teams can go for him if they want a great overseas all-round option in their combination.
Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes is definitely going to be one of the most expensive players in the auctions on Friday. The England’s star player is a great fast bowling all-rounder and teams like Chennai Super Kings who are searching for a replacement of Dwane Bravo and Kolkata Knight Riders, who are looking for an alternative to Pat Cummins will definitely go for high bidding against Ben Stokes.
Mayank Agarwal
The former Punjab Kings Captain, Mayank Agarwal is certainly going to be a subject of interest for the franchises in the IPL 2023 auction. He can be a great choice for the teams looking for a quality Indian Batsman. He can also be a potential captain for any franchise that bids for him. His record in the IPL has been great so far. He has played as many as 72 IPL matches and scored 1266 runs that includes 5 half-centuries.
Sam Curran
The 24-year-old English all-rounder Sam Curran will undoubtedly be one of the most expensive purchases in IPL 2023 mini auctions. He was the player of 2022 T20 World Cup and a fierce bidding is expected for him. Chennai Super Kings will definitely try to get him back at any cost whereas Punjab Kings have no option but to go after him. Curran missed the 2022 season of IPL due to back injury and has a base price of 2 crores.
Nicholas Pooran
Now comes Caribbean destructive wicket-keeper batsman, Nicholas Pooran. He has high chances of getting a big deal in the mini auctions. As for the teams like Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans, he can turn out to be a great wicket keeping option. In the previous season Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him but after his decent performance, he was later released.
Sikandar Raza
Usually, we don’t see any hype of Zimbabwe players in IPL and that too a spinner. However, if reports are to be believed, Mumbai Indians and several other franchises may go after Zimbabwe’s spin bowling all-rounder. His bowling is not as easy to pick and also he can provide a good batting option at the lower middle order.
Kane Williamson
New Zealand’s white ball captain Kane Williamson can also not be neglected in the upcoming auction. He’s a big fish and can grab a huge amount in the auctions. Although his record in the IPL is not great, he can be a great quality overseas option for franchises looking for a potential captain.
