Kane Williamson to miss Mumbai Test as well
New Zealand have taken a “cautious approach” with Kane Williamson by ruling out the star batter from the side’s third and final Test against India in Mumbai, starting November 1.
Williamson further said that the final of the league will be an even game for both teams.
Kane Williamson-led SunRisers Hyderabad lost to Chennai Super Kings just a few days before in the first qualifier match and even before that, they have lost the two league matches to MS Dhoni’s squad.
However, despite three losses to the same side in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson believes that the defeat in three matches at the hands of Chennai Super Kings will not affect them in the final on Sunday.
The 27-year-old cricketer further said that the final of the league will be an even game for both teams.

“CSK are playing really good cricket and they won the number of those league games and qualifier coming into the final but I think it’s all even and both teams have a lot to play for. Both teams are really excited at the opportunity to play one another in the final,” said Williamson.
However, the form of Afgan teenaged spinner Rashid Khan is a big advantage for the SunRisers. In their previous clash in the first qualifier, Rashid Khan’s exceptional 2/11 had almost spun the game in his side’s favour.
Talking About Rashid’s massive performance throughout the season and especially against KKR, where he took three wickets and scored 34 runs off 10 balls, Williamson said, “We are very fortunate to have Rashid Khan in our team and he has been outstanding throughout this whole campaign and hopefully tomorrow (Sunday) night, he can do it all over again.”
When the 27-year-old cricketer was about the success of leg-spinners in this edition, he said: “I think it’s a very consistent think throughout IPLs. The quality of these leg-spinners are very very high. Obviously, this left-hand right-hand batsman and having the ability to take them away from those on surfaces that offer a bit of turn is certainly an asset.”
