Newly crowned Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik led by example in KKR’s win over Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in the 15th match of IPL at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on 18th April.
Karthik scored an unbeaten 42 runs with a strike rate of 182.60 and guided his team to victory. Apart from that, Dinesh also stunned rival captain Ajinkya Rahane with his brilliant stumping.
In the 7th over of the first innings, Rahane walked down the track to hit a delivery bowled by Nitish Rana and missed it. The ball went off the pads and an alert Karthik first removed his gloves, and back-flicked the ball onto the stumps. With that, KKR got its first breakthrough in the game.

Earlier on Wednesday, after winning the toss, Karthik put Rahane’s side to bat first and restricted them to 160/8. Kolkata Knight Riders won the match in 18.5 overs with 7 wickets to spare.
Kolkata Knight Riders will face Kings XI Punjab in Mohali on Friday and Rajasthan Royals will take on Chennai Super Kings in Pune in their next game.
