The Punjab Cricket Association, on Friday, requested the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to reschedule two Kings XI Punjab’s matches to be played in Mohali on May 12 and May 14.
The reason behind PCA’s request is because Chandigarh airport will go under maintenance from May 12 to May 31. During this period the airport would be shut.

According to Indian Premier League’s fixture for 2018, R Ashwin-led KXIP is to play four home games at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali between May 4 and 14.
“We have received a request from PCA and IPL’s Governing Council will surely look into it because this is a genuine problem,” CK Khanna, BCCI acting president told TOI.
KXIP will play their first of IPL 2018 against Mumbai in Mohali on May 4. Thereafter, they will play against Steve Smith-led Rajasthan Royals on May 6. The matches that KXIP have requested to reschedule are against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 12 and Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 14.
Ravichandran’s squad is will also play three matches in Indore.
On Friday, BCCI officials will meet with the IPL Governing Council to discuss the different issues ahead of upcoming season IPL. The discussion regarding rescheduling of KXIP’s matches is likely to be taken on in the meeting.
