‘My retention wasn’t about money for sure’: Pant reveals ahead of IPL auction
India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has revealed that his release from Delhi Capitals squad ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction was not about the money.

Young Indian cricketer and Delhi Daredevils’ wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant bagged the award for the Emerging Player of the 11th season of Indian Premier League after the final of the tournament between SunRisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings on Sunday at the Wankhede stadium.
The 20-year-old Delhi cricketer Pant was also named Stylish Player of the year. Rishabh Pant scored 684 runs in 14 matches and was the second highest run-getter after SunRisers skipper Kane Williamson.
Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine picked up two awards — Super Striker and Valuable Player of the year.

Meanwhile, SRH skipper Kane Williamson (735 runs) got the Orange Cap and Kings XI Punjab speedster Andrew Tye (24 wickets) bagged the Purple Cap for his exceptional bowling.
New Zealand pacer Boult won the Perfect Catch award for his one hander stunner that had dismissed Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli.
