India’s carrom-baller, spin wizard Ashwin bids adieu to international cricket
India's decorated off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin announced his decision to retire from international cricket moments after the Brisbane Test ended in a draw.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli opted to bat first in the first Test of two-match series.
Indian opener KL Rahul failed to get off the mark in the opening match of two-match Test series on Thursday as he departed for a duck. In the first over of the first innings, KL Rahul left Shanon Gabriel ball alone as he felt the ball would go straight. However, contrary to Rahul’s expectations, the ball came back and trapped him in front of the stumps. West Indies team appealed for out and the on-field umpire raised his finger.
Once given out, Rahul consulted young batsman Prithvi Shaw and went for a review. In the review, it was seen that the ball had touched his knee before hitting the stumps. The umpire did not have to change his decision and India wasted a review.

KL Rahul missed a golden opportunity today to score big 💯.
Congratulations Prithvi Shaw for your superb century in your debut match.
Congratulations Pujara & Kohli for your double 💯.
And I’m thinking why India is playing Test against such a weak team. #INDvWI
