Virat Kohli does not need us, we need him: Bumrah
Bumrah, however, stressed that Kohli knows his cricket better than anyone else and that his experience of batting in these challenging conditions was essential from the team’s perspective.
Ahead of the 1st T20I between India and the West Indies, here is everything you need to know.
The three-match T20 International series between India and West Indies will start on Sunday, 4 November 2018. The series opener will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been rested from the three-match series and stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma has been given the duty to guide the Men in Blue. Wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni will also not feature in the upcoming series. In his absence, young Delhi batsman Rishabh Pant will don the gloves for India.
It is also noteworthy that the Caribbean outfit has never played a T20I bilateral series in India before. This is also the first time when former Indian skipper MS Dhoni will not be seen in the blue jersey for a home T20I match.
