Abhishek downplays competition with Gill & Jaiswal for T20I opening slot

Ahead of Australia’s India tour, former Australia batsman Matthew Hayden has predicted the result of both the series.
Australia is slated to play two-match T20I series against India starting on Sunday. The T20I series will be followed by a four-match ODI series.

“Based on what India has achieved in New Zealand, I think it is going to be 4-1 (in ODIs). And I think it going to be a tie in the T20Is with Australia winning one of those,” Hayden told Star Sports.

The former Australian opener is considered one of the finest players of spin bowling. Speaking about the upcoming tournament, Hayden also shared his knowledge with the Australian batsmen on how to tackle slow bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Chinaman India spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been rested for the two-match T20 series. Hayden, who is a part of the official broadcasters’ commentator team, was also invited by Australian current coach Justin Langer during the Australian team practice session.
Speaking about Hayden, Finch said, “It was great obviously to have JL’s (Justin Langer) great mate and a legend of the game come back and someone who’s had so much success here in India as a batsman to get around to this field the boys and have a good chat was great.”
