The men in blue are all geared up to take on the hosts Bangladesh in the 2nd Test match starting from Thursday. The second Test match of the two-match test series between India and Bangladesh will be played in Mirpur.

After a convincing victory in the first Test, India will eye another win as the race for the top two spots in the World Test Championship has intensified.

With India moving up to the second position with (55.77 PCT) South Africa has come down to third as they now have (54.55 PCT). This comes after an embarrassing defeat against Australia in the Test match in Gabba.

Notably, Australia is currently at the top with (76.92 PCT) in the points table and has almost sealed its position at any of the top two slots. The upcoming Test series against Australia is going to be quite decisive for India as they look forward to entering into the finals of WTC for the second consecutive time.

Meanwhile, India also needs to be very cautious against Bangladesh in the 2nd Test as they showed great resilience in the first test match. India still needs 44 more points to make sure that they are beyond the margin of 54.76 per cent. The men in blue still have six Tests to play and they need to win at least 3 and draw 2 of them.

Moreover, the injury of Indian Captain Rohit Sharma has been another factor concerning India. The stand-in captain KL Rahul has not been in form, but will surely look to get back his form in the upcoming Test match.

Team India will be expecting the same show from Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubhman Gill. Both of them scored centuries in the previous match and were looking in great temperament. Fans will look forward to Virat Kohli scoring his test century after a long drought of centuries in tests. Recently, the former Indian captain has retained his classical touch as he scored a ton in ODI’s against Bangladesh.
