Stokes ‘hurting’ with how Pak series has unfolded, says McCullum
England head coach Brendon McCullum said captain Ben Stokes will be "hurting" after the 2-1 Test series defeat against Pakistan.
There have been three bowlers in the tournament who bowled more than 20 overs but have not conceded even a single six in the World Cup.
In the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2019, cricket lovers from across the globe witnessed many great performances, both with the bat and the ball. Many old records were broken while new were created in the course of the tournament.
However, there is one stat that might just have surprised even those who have followed the game so closely. There have been three bowlers in the tournament who bowled more than 20 overs but have not conceded even a single six in the World Cup.
In modern-day cricket, this is an extraordinary achievement, given the fact that even 300 runs is not a safe total in limited-overs cricket. Notably, a total of five bowlers did not even concede a single six. Three of these bowled more than 20 overs.

Chris Gayle and Kane Williamson complete the list of top five. The duo has bowled 15 overs each. It is also to be highlighted that Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan left-arm seam bowler Mohammad Amir have only conceded one six in the entire tournament.
Dwaine Pretorius
Medium pace bowler Dwaine Pretorius featured in only three matches for South Africa. However, in the three matches that he got a chance to bowl against top quality sides, his performance proved why not selecting him in the first place was a big mistake. He picked up five wickets in the tournament and was very economical as well conceding about four runs an over. In the 23 overs he bowled in the tournament, he conceded just about 94 runs.
Hamid Hassan
Afghanistan had a forgettable tournament in England. Although they did manage to challenge India and Pakistan, they struggled to complete the win. One of the many reasons behind Afghanistan’s failure was the poor form of Rashid Khan. However, Hamid Hassan was their reliable bowler who did not concede too many runs. However, he picked up just one wicket in five matches.
He bowled 26 overs and conceded 122 runs. He was the other bowler to have not been conceded for a single six. He bowled three maiden overs.
Ben Stokes
Not long ago, Stokes was hit for four consecutive sixes by Carlos Braithwaite when he had 19 in the bank to defend in the ICC World T20 final at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Stokes has taken rapid strides in world cricket and has not even conceded a single six in the entire 50 overs World Cup.
While all top quality pacers were hit for at least a six in the tournament, Stokes bowled 50.5 overs without being hit over the boundary for a maximum.
He conceded 246 runs and was England’s most economical bowler
