The Great Gamble
There was a time, not too long ago, when the mere mention of money was anathema in sports ~ professionals were allowed in Wimbledon for the first time in 1968, and in the Olympics only from 1988.
Kohli is now on the top in the list of leading run-scores in T20Is. He has 2,441 runs in the format while Rohit Sharma, with 2,434, is second in the list.
Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has praised India batsman Virat Kohli, terming the classy right-hander a “great player” and urging him to keep entertaining the fans across the world.
It is to note that 30-year-old Kohli on Wednesday became the leading run-getter in T20Is as he led the Men in Blue to a commanding seven-wicket win over South Africa in the second game of the three-match series in Mohali.

Kohli is now on the top in the list of leading run-scores in T20Is. He has 2,441 runs in the format while Rohit Sharma, with 2,434, is second in the list. Kohli is the only batsman in the world to have a batting average of above 50 in all three formats of the game.
Talking about the match, after getting an invitation to bat first, South Africa scored 149 runs in 20 overs which India chased down with six balls to spare.
Post the win, India lead the series 1-0 as the first T20I between the two sides got washed out. The teams next meet for the final encounter at Bengaluru on Sunday.
