UP: Villagers kill sixth and final wolf ending months-long havoc by predator in Bahraich
After months of terror, the six-member wolf pack responsible for wreaking havoc in the Mahsi region of Bahraich has finally been eradicated.
Spanish club Sevilla on Tuesday edged past English Premier League team Wolves 1-0 to move into the semifinals of the ongoing UEFA Europa League. In another quarterfinal match, Ukrainian side Shaktar Donetsk eased thumped FC Basel 4-1.
Late header from Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos proved to be the only difference in a match that looked destined to slip into the extra time. Five times champion Sevilla will now face Manchester United in the last four on Sunday.

Despite dominating the match throughout the course of play, Sevilla were unable to breach the determined backline of Wolves. However, the tired-looking English team eventually gave up with just two minutes remaining of the regulation time.

Ocampos did brilliantly to send the ball into the back of the net after he was provided the delivery with a fizzing cross by Evar Benega in the 88th minute as Wolves keeper Rui Patricio got beaten for the first time.
Meanwhile, Wolves also had their luck to blame after starting the match on a positive note. The first genuine chance for the breakthrough belonged to then when Adam Tarore set off for a brilliant run towards the goal before he was chopped down by Diego Carlos.
After Wolves’ Raul Jimenez sent a weak spot-kick and missed another chance to take the lead, Sevilla began to take control of the proceedings. But, Wolves ensured that the Spanish team did not have an easy outing either.
Sevilla’s first genuine chance came in the second half when Suso failed to tap in a flighted cross from Jules Kounde in the 66th minute. 11 minutes later Patricio had denied Banega a chance from free kick before the Argentine turned provider for the only goal minutes later.
In Gelsenkirchen, Shaktar stormed their way into the semifinals with a dominating win over FC Basel. For their last four opponents, Inter Milan, it will not be an easy day at the office on Monday.
The Ukrainian team took the lead in just the second minute of the match when Brazil-born Moraes headed home Marlos’ corner.
20 minutes later Taison extended Shaktar’s lead with a deflecting shot that left Basel keeper Dorde Nikolic bamboozled.
Alan Patrick with a successful kick from the 12 yards spot in 75th minute and Dodo’s strike in the 88th minute put the final nail in Basel’s coffin after overpowering them in all aspects.
Ricky van Wolfswinkel restored some pride for the Swiss side with a consolation goal in the second minute of the stoppage time.
