In the second semifinal clash on Wednesday at Vivekananda Yuvabharati Stadium in Saltlake, Mohun Bagan will lock horns with Real Kasmir.
Group B table-toppers Mohun Bagan have had a very inconsistent run in this season so far. While they have been unbeaten in the league stage of the Durand Cup so far, they are yet to register a win after the first two matches of the Calcutta Football League (CFL).
However, the Green and Maroon brigade are slowly and gradually improving their game under the Spanish coach Antonio Vicuna, who manages Mohun Bagan in a one-year deal.

The team started their Durand Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Mohammedan Sporting. In their next game, they faced ATK and beat their opponents by a 2-1 goal difference. And their final league game against Indian Navy of the Durand ended in a 1-0 win.
Going by their form in the Durand Cup, Vicuna’s side are strong favourites against Real Kashmir FC in the semifinal but their inconsistency has been a worry for the new head coach.
Meanwhile, Group C table-toppers Real Kashmir will not be an easy opponent to face in the knock-out stage. Though their performance was not the best in the league stage, it has to be kept in mind that the team came to this tournament without any real pre-season campaign.
With time, the Kashmiris have definitely gained shape and can prove to be a dangerous opponent.
