Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday smashed his 37th One Day International (ODIs) century and in the process became the fastest batsman to reach the mark of 10,000 runs in the limited overs format.
The stylish right-handed batsman has taken just 205 innings to achieve the feat, while Sachin Tendulkar, the last cricketer to hold the record, had reached the same milestone in 249 ODI innings. Virat’s century against West Indies was his third consecutive hundred against the Caribbean side. It was also Virat’s second ODI hundred in the ongoing five-match series.

Virat Kohli scored played a brilliant 157 runs knock as the young West Indies pulled off a heart-stopping chase to hold the hosts to a tie in the nail-biting second One-Day International. The second ODI was played at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday. In the ongoing five-match ODI series between India and West Indies, Men-in-Blue has taken the lead of 1-0.
