Brazilian defender Dani Alves snubbed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s overtures, as he signed a two-year contract with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, the French club confirmed.
“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival in the squad of Daniel Alves Da Silva. The Brazil defender is now linked to the capital club through to 30 June 2019,” a statement by the club read.

“I'm extremely happy to sign for Paris Saint-Germain,” Dani Alves said after signing his contract.
Most recently at Juventus, the 34-year-old had terminated his contract with the Bianconeri on June 29 and City were said to be favourites to sign the dynamic right-back.
For Alves and Guardiola had worked together at Barcelona, enjoying unprecedented success but Les Parisiens swooped in at the last minute to hijack the deal, despite the best efforts of the Catalan manager.
“Believe me, I am coming to Paris to win. I know the ambitions of my new club and the expectations of its many fans around the world. We're going to share in some great times, I'm certain of that,” Alves added.
