Scoring a hat-trick doesn’t come often for most professional footballers, but Cristiano Ronaldo is not a stranger to trebles and after his latest romp in front of goal, the Real Madrid forward hung out with UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov and gifted the Russian his match-worn jersey.

Nice to see you bro. 👌💪

Ronaldo’s goalscoring exploits came at the right time as Los Blancos romped to a 5-2 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday night, coming into form just before a mammoth UEFA Champions League round-of-16 clash with Paris Saint-Germain. Notably, the 33-year-old recorded the first ‘perfect’ hat-trick of the La Liga season so far, with one headed goal and a strike from either foot.

And the Portuguese hung out with Nurmagomedov, who is unbeaten in his MMA career, after the match, with the duo exchanging gifts. Not only did the Russian get Ronaldo’s jersey in which he scored a hat-trick against Sociedad, he also got a personalised one with Nurmagomedov and the number seven emblazoned on the back.

With a 25-0 record, Nurmagomedov has been dominating the UFC’s Lightweight division and is one of their biggest stars. He’s currently preparing for his next bout, against Tony Ferguson. Their clash is scheduled for April 7, 2018 at UFC 223 and the winner will become the interim Lightweight champion.

MMA sensation Conor McGregor holds the Lightweight title, but he’s not fought for over a year and currently it’s unclear as to whether the winner of the Ferguson-Nurmagomedov fight will be the crowned the Lightweight champion and if the brash Irishman will be stripped of his title.
